About Us
food. farm. build.
I started Rabbit Run Builders in 2016 after moving to Maine from Rhode Island where I worked as a chef. The same desire to work with my hands, be part of a team, and create the process and systems around a task has drawn me to building. I started with King Cove Carpentry on kitchen and bath remodels, renovations, rot repair, and decks. I quickly caught the bug to do new building projects like additions and garages and eventually put together the skills and connections needed to build my first home –a 750sqft Energy Efficient Accessory Dwelling Unit for my mother right next to my own home in Brunswick.
Each project I learn more about the building process as I work to refine the systems needed to put a successful build together. A build that will become a home. A home which will stand up to the elements and resist the constant pull of time to return its materials to the earth.
Team
While working in building over the last 5 years, we have gotten to know some great people in the industry. These are the connections we call on to get your project through its various phases. Our team of subcontractors include excavation, concrete, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, metal, insulation, sheetrock, roofing, siding, masonry, painting, finish trim, custom carpentry, and more. We can also connect you with Architects and Designers, landscapers and hardscapers, as well as energy efficiency and air quality consultants. We strive to keep great working relationships so we can be sure your project will go as smoothly as possible.
